I didn't want to use (at least not too
much) paint on this model so instead of using Ramin strips for the inside
of the upper bulwarks I have been looking for wood with a reddish color.
For not using to many different sorts of wood and also
because of availability I ended up with 1mm Mahogany sheets.
I found out that by using an app. 3mm thick piece of Plexiglas it was
quite easy to hold the strips down on the FET tablesaw without losing any of my
fingers, or the blade grabbing it.
Progress...
Result !
